Five new Gloucestershire schools have officially joined Lift Schools following approval from the Department for Education, bringing the trust’s network to 62 and eight within the county.
Four of the incoming schools - Lift Berkeley, Lift Callowell, Lift Cam Woodfield Junior, and Marling School - transitioned from the Cotswold Beacon Academy Trust (CBAT), alongside Lift Hillview Primary School and Nursery.

Becks Boomer-Clark, CEO of Lift Schools, spoke of her delight in welcoming the schools to the trust. She said that she looks forward to working closely with school leaders and staff to build on their existing strengths, support continued improvement, and ensure every pupil can thrive.
Helena Armstrong, Principal at Lift Hillview, spoke about the strategic value of the partnership.
She said: “As a school, we are always looking for new ways to achieve excellence. Joining Lift Schools allows us to collaborate with like-minded schools and ensure the very best for every child, every day.”
Chris Briereley, Chair of Trustees of Cotswold Beacon Academy Trust, emphasised the long-term benefits of the partnership.
He said: “Joining the network provides access to a wider network of expertise, strengthened professional development opportunities for staff, and greater collaboration, while preserving the distinctive ethos and identity of each school.”
