Lift Schools is celebrating brilliant primary results this week across Early Years, key stage 1 phonics, and the Year 4 Multiplication Check.
Our key stage 1 phonics results were strong again this year:
A special congratulations goes to Lift Ashingdon, Lift Four Dwellings Primary, and Lift Offa’s Mead for crossing the 90%+ threshold. They were joined in the 90%+ group by:
Disadvantaged pupils, including those qualifying for pupil premium, delivered an excellent performance - outperforming the national average for non-disadvantaged students by 2 ppt (2026 vs 2025).
Principal at Lift Ashingdon Charlotte Leasure said: “We are incredibly proud of our pupils and staff for our wonderful phonics outcomes. Learning to read unlocks the door to every aspect of the curriculum so seeing our children develop into confident, enthusiastic readers is something worth celebrating. Our phonics screening check results are a testament to the dedication of our team, the support of our families and, above all, the hard work of our children."

Jaime Bryan, Head of School at Lift Four Dwellings Primary, added: “This is a fantastic achievement for our pupils and reflects the dedication of staff and families working together. Reading is at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to ensuring every child develops the confidence and skills they need to succeed."
Ruth Murad, Director of Primary at Lift Schools, said: We are incredibly proud of the phonic results, which reflect the dedication and expertise of our teaching staff, alongside the hard work and resilience of our pupils. They demonstrate the importance we place on early reading and are a wonderful example of our mission to provide an excellent education for every child, in every classroom, every day.”

The Multiplication Table Check (MTC) entered its fifth year, with Lift Schools pupils securing some brilliant results.
Standout performers include:

Disadvantaged pupils
This year, 56% of disadvantaged pupils achieved full marks (up from 52% in 2025). It keeps Lift Schools in line with the 2025 national disadvantage gap while lifting overall achievement.
Our youngest learners also saw fantastic progress, with 76.9% achieving a Good Level of Development (up 2.4ppt from last year and 8.6ppt above the 2025 national average).
Furthermore, 74.7% of children met the expected standard across all 17 Early Learning Goals (up 2.1ppt from last year and 7.8ppt above the 2025 national average).
Free school meals (FSM) progress
This year, 70% of pupils eligible for Free School Meals achieved a Good Level of Development, up from 69% in 2025. While a gap remains compared to non-FSM pupils (80%), which we are committed to closing, outcomes for our FSM students continue to move in the right direction.

They are also testament to our relentless and ongoing commitment to ensuring every child secures the foundational reading skills that unlock future success, enabling them to thrive throughout their education and beyond.”
