Reading time:

Thousands of heartwarming messages have poured in from students, teachers, and staff across Lift Schools as the trust joined the nationwide celebration of National Thank a Teacher Day

Lift Schools teamed up with organisers the Teaching Awards Trust for the first time, encouraging schools and communities to recognise and celebrate the incredible work of teachers, support staff, and everyone in education.

This year, close to 3,000 personalised digital thank you cards were shared across our network, offering a heartfelt way to acknowledge individuals for their dedication and willingness to consistently go the extra mile.

It was a day of appreciation and gratitude across our network as schools took part in National Thank a Teacher Day celebrations

Here are just a few of the messages of appreciation shared:

A student at Sir Herbert Leon Academy shared a heartwarming message for their teacher, Miss Amina Hassan:

I just wanted to say thank you for everything. You being my teacher has made my year the best. I apologise for all the times that I've not listened or spoken over you, but apart from that, I wanted to say thank you for everything. You’re like my Miss Honey that I can come to for anything and I always will. I appreciate you a lot and am very grateful to you this year for teaching me and helping me. I thank you for everything.

A student at Tamworth Enterprise College sent this message to his teacher, Tom Martin.

I may be a quiet person in your lessons but I do like being in your lessons. Your energy makes it less boring and you explain things nice and clearly, even if the question on the board makes no sense. I appreciate your time and effort to bring our grades up - thank you.

This message from a parent was shared with the entire teaching team at Brockworth Primary Academy.

Omg, what a journey the school has been on in the last few years. The whole BPA team has gone from strength to strength and the efforts from everyone to the development of the school has been fantastic.
It has been a privilege and pleasure to witness the progress and I know there is so much more to come. Everyone should be so proud of what you have accomplished and how much more you can achieve.

An anonymous message from a parent to a teacher read:

Thank you for being a great teacher to J-J. He speaks very highly of you and really seems to be enjoying his English lessons now, which is wonderful. He really struggled with English a few years ago and it was one of his least favourite subjects. Now he looks forward to his lessons with you. Thank you for all your support and the adaptations you put in place which enables him to take part in the lessons fully. We just wanted you to know that we appreciate you!

Thousands of messages of appreciation have poured in for leaders, teachers and support staff across Lift Schools

A message from a parent of a student at New Rickstones Academy, in Essex, to teacher Mr Grant Stredder, said:

Thank you for supporting Ruby on the sporting journey. Your kindness, encouragement and compassion hasn’t gone unnoticed and Ruby speaks of you fondly outside of school.
She has even decided you get a hospitality spot on her first Lioness match she plays! We all think you are awesome!

Another anonymous message from a parent to a teacher at one of our schools read:

We are so grateful that you are Stan’s tutor. You make him feel like he belongs and that he has a trusted person who is a constant in his school life. He struggles with relationships but your outlook, consistency and caring nature is something that we all truly appreciate! You are exceptional! Thank you

Parents of a student at Ryde Academy, on the Isle of Wight, sent this thank you message to teacher Will Doyle.

Just a quick note to say – wow, you really have hit the ground running. It’s been brilliant to watch you take on the role with such confidence, vision, and let’s be honest…bravery! You’re smashing it – and the school already feels the positive change. Whether it’s the new energy, the clear direction, or just your ability to stay sane amidst the chaos, it genuinely is impressive. Keep up the great work – the support and kindness you have always shown towards us and our boys has never gone unnoticed - thank you.
