Lift Schools has announced the appointment of two new Regional Education Directors.
Gemma Frost joins the trust as Regional Education Director for the East, while Hannah Fahey takes the lead for the London & South region.
Hannah brings an impressive 18-year track record as a principal and system leader at Anthem Schools Trust, and Gemma joins following a successful tenure as Director of Education at Unity Schools Partnership.
Speaking about her appointment, Gemma, who is also a trustee for the Horizons Education Trust in Cambridgeshire, said: “It is an incredible privilege to join Lift Schools as the Regional Education Director for the East. As someone who both trained and spent a significant part of my leadership journey at Lift Tendring, serving the children of the East is something of a dream job!
“I am currently Director of Education at Unity Schools Partnership where I am the link director to primary, secondary and PVI nursery settings in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, I am also a trustee for Horizons Education Trust in Cambridgeshire. I am passionately committed to providing an excellent education for every child, in every classroom, everyday.”
Hannah Fahey said: “After 18 years of service across Anthem Schools Trust as both the principal of an outstanding secondary school and system leader, I am thrilled to have been afforded the opportunity to join the Lift Schools family as Regional Education Director for the London & South region. I was drawn to the trust's bold and audacious 490 mission and feel humbled by the trust placed in me to ensure this becomes a reality in a region very close to my heart."
She continued: "Never within our lifetime has there been such an exciting period of rapid reform and change within education. Playing a major part in shaping a regional and national response to this at Lift Schools is unbelievably exciting.”
In this role, they join Lift Schools’ team of five Regional Education Directors supporting the national network, reporting directly to our CEO Becks Boomer-Clark. The regional leadership team currently consists of Nigel Whittle for the North region, Nabila Jiwa for the Midlands and Karl Sampson for the South West.

Both leaders bring the expertise necessary to drive our mission of providing an excellent education forward.”
